Take these steps to start your patients on treatment without loading doses or oral supplementation. Prior to initiating PERSERIS, establish tolerability with oral risperidone in risperidone-naive patients.1

1. Refrigerated storage

  • PERSERIS should be refrigerated for storage. It can remain at room temperature in its original carton (68°F to 77°F) for up to 30 days prior to administration1
  • Discard after 30 days at room temperature1
  • PERSERIS kit should be brought to room temperature for at least 15 minutes before mixing1

2. Reconstitution

  • PERSERIS requires thorough mixing of 60 cycles to uniformly combine the risperidone powder and delivery system liquid1

3. Subcutaneous abdominal administration that must be performed by an HCP

  • Following subcutaneous injection, a depot is formed that provides the sustained release of risperidone over the monthly dosing period1
  • PERSERIS is administered using a 5/8-inch-long, 18-gauge safety needle1
  • Watch step-by-step administration instructions
