Graph depicting mean risperidone plasma concentrations by hour with initial peak at 4 to 6 hours.

This graph depicts the first 24-hour mean and positive standard deviation of risperidone concentrations (ng/mL) of PERSERIS 90 mg and PERSERIS 120 mg. The initial peak for both occurred at 4 to 6 hours with a decline from the 6 to 24 hour mark for patients receiving PERSERIS 90 mg. Patients receiving PERSERIS 120 mg declined after Hour 8, and then plateaued from 12 to 24 hours.

  • Risperidone plasma concentrations approached steady-state levels after the first injection and reached steady state by the end of the second injection1
  • A second peak of risperidone was observed at 10 to 14 days post dose and was associated with the slow release of risperidone from the subcutaneous depot1

Study description: A Phase I, open-label, single-center, single ascending dose study of the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile over 85 days of PERSERIS (90 mg and 120 mg) in 30 patients with clinically stable schizophrenia who were not taking risperidone.2
